Managing Wallets

Connecting to a remote node

By connecting to a remote note, you don’t need to download the whole blockchain. This comes with the drawback of less privacy and dependence on the remote nodes being up and running. When using the GUI wallet, go into Settings and under Daemon address there are two fields which you need to fill. There are several remote nodes, and some examples are

Hostname/IP – Port

node.moneroclub.com – 8880

node.moneroworld.com – 18089

node.xmr.be – 18081

node.xmrbackb.one – 18081

In the mobile wallet Monerujo, the information is specified as [Hostname/IP]:[Port]. For example, “node.moneroclub.com:8880”.
